Titans will reportedly sign Brandon Weeden
With Marcus Mariota considered day-to-day after suffering a hamstring injury in Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans, the Tennessee Titans are adding some depth at the quarterback position.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Titans have agreed to sign free agent quarterback Brandon Weeden.
The Titans are planning to sign free agent QB Brandon Weeden, according to a league source.

Weeden, the No. 22 overall pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 NFL Draft, has not attempted a pass in a regular season game since 2015. The 33-year-old spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans after leaving Cleveland.
Ideally, the Titans are hoping Mariota responds well to treatment this week and doesn’t have to miss Week 5. But if he does, there will be plenty of people wondering how Weeden is a better fit to run their offense than a certain other high profile QB who remains a free agent.
