Tom Brady made a $100K bet with Danny Amendola after Kentucky Derby
Tom Brady said during a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that he is fine with taking less money on his NFL contracts because his wife earns so much, and a friendly wager he made with a former teammate after the Kentucky Derby helped put his financial situation into perspective.
Brady made his annual trip to Churchill Downs on Saturday with several Patriots teammates, former teammates, and friends, and Danny Amendola was among those who hung out with the six-time Super Bowl champion. After the races, Amendola shared a video on his Instagram story of him making a $100,000 wager with Brady that he could hit a sign near the top of a building with a mini football. Unfortunately, Amendola missed.

In many ways, Brady and the boys are just like the rest of us. If you subtract about $99,990 from the friendly wagers they make, they’re just regular guys, right?
Hey, at least Brady and his crew weren’t getting into the type of trouble Wes Welker once got into during his trip to the Kentucky Derby. There’s nothing wrong with making a bet with your buddies while hanging out in a parking lot. In this instance, it’s probably safest to just report the transaction to the IRS.
