Viewers all asked the same question about the Browns-Steelers game
Viewers who pulled up Amazon’s stream of the “Thursday Night Football” game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns were all asking the same question.
There was a constant banging noise that was picked up by Amazon’s microphones and heard in the background of the broadcast. For those watching at home, it sounded like someone was banging the mailbox outside your home all game.
Viewers were left frustrated by the experience and wondering what the heck was going on.
Whoever keeps banging the fence on the Steelers-Browns broadcast, can you please chill? #Steelers #Browns pic.twitter.com/cQBqe1z4vg

@NFLonPrime -for the love of TNF, please mute the crowd mic that is next to the Browns fan banging on the metal pan!!! I’m about ready to give my wife the remote and watch the new episode of Ghosts.

The Browns are about to drop $2.4 Billion on a new stadium but can’t fix the Oscar the Grouch banging on a garbage can sound during every home national broadcast game. #browns

Someone tell those Browns fans to stop banging on that grate. Happens every primetime home game

Someone even made a Houston Astros trash can joke.
Anyone else hear the trash can banging in the background? Browns are clearly cheating to stay in this game #Browns #Steelers

The sound comes from a few fans banging on a gate. Even Amazon announcer Al Michaels was frustrated by it.

The Browns probably have no issue with the home fans making noise. The NFL’s TV partners though should probably make adjustments to avoid it ruining the entire broadcast.
