The NFL will have another reason to examine the play of Vontaze Burfict in Cincinnati’s game against New England on Sunday.
In addition to committing a low hit against Pats tight end Martellus Bennett, another dirty play by Burfict is being examined. In this one, the Bengals linebacker was seen stepping on LeGarrette Blount after a touchdown:

Burfict has long been viewed as a dirty player, and this is exactly why. The man seems to deliberately inflict pain on his opponents beyond what is reasonable for plays on the field. Here’s a look at his hit on Bennett, for which he apologized.
