Brooks Koepka has struggled in major championships over the past two seasons, and one heckler proposed a theory as to why during the PGA Championship over the weekend.
Koepka shot a 75 on Thursday and a 76 on Friday to miss the cut at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C. At one point during the second round, a heckler insinuated that Koepka’s decision to sign with LIV Golf has negatively impacted the 35-year-old’s game.
“That’s what guaranteed money does to ya, Brooks!” the fan shouted.
Rather than ignoring the comment, Koepka challenged the fan to say it to his face. Of course, that did not happen.

Koepka, who also missed the cut at the Masters last month, has won the PGA Championship three times. He has also won the U.S. Open twice.
One of Koepka’s major wins was at the 2023 PGA Championship, which was after he signed a deal with LIV that is worth more than $100 million.
Koepka has finished outside the top 15 in his last three LIV events, however, so his game clearly is not in a great spot.
There have been some rumblings about Koepka potentially returning to the PGA Tour when his deal with LIV expires. Koepka had a notable response to that speculation earlier this year.
