Nazem Kadri leaves game after collision with Jake DeBrusk
Nazem Kadri left Game 2 of Toronto’s first round playoff series against the Boston Bruins on Saturday after a collision with Jake DeBrusk.
Kadri and DeBrusk were going after each other early in the game, setting the stage for what was to come:

They got two minutes for roughing in the first for that.
Then late in the second period, Kadri was let out of the box following a hooking penalty. Within seconds of being let out of the box, DeBrusk clipped him with a serious leg-to-leg shot. Kadri left the game:

No penalty was called. Kadri was able to return later in the game and scored in the third period.
There is history between Kadri and the Bruins. He was suspended three games last season for a dirty hit on Tommy Wingels in the playoffs. The Bruins won last year’s series in seven games.
