ESPN MMA broadcaster Jon Anik owes Nate Diaz a 209 tattoo if he wants to make good on a promise.
Leading up to Saturday’s fight at UFC 196 between Diaz and Conor McGregor, Anik was so certain McGregor would win he said he would get a tattoo of 209 on his forearm if the Irishman lost.
“I’m going to say it here for the masses to hear. I will get the area code ‘209’ tattooed on the inside of my forearm, if Nate Diaz beats Conor McGregor,” he said on the Anik and Florian Podcast. “I got Conor in Round 1.”
Diaz remembered this prediction, so after he submitted McGregor, he made sure to bring up Anik. And he did so in some profane terms.
“Yo, yo! Jon Anik better get a motherf—ing 209 tattoo!” he said.
Looks like Anik is planning to make it happen.

209, by the way, is the area code in Stockton, Calif., the city where the Diaz brothers are from. They are and have always been extremely proud of their hometown.
