Did LeBron James respond to Lil Wayne with Instagram post?

LeBron James posted a note on his Instagram account Tuesday that may have been a response to rapper Lil Wayne.

Lil Wayne attended a Miami Heat-Los Angeles Lakers game last week and complained that he was kicked out of the game for supporting the Lakers (others disputed his account). Over NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston, Weezy then antagonized several Heat players while performing during a show, dropping F-bombs on them and boasting that he slept with Chris Bosh’s wife.

LeBron posted the following message to Instagram Tuesday that seemed to be aimed at Weezy and/or other detractors:

LeBron James Instagram

“Just know that when you’re hot something cold will try to ignite themselves off of you to try to stay relevant. Don’t even engage! #dontlookbackwards #pushforward”

Lil Wayne actually has a history of complaining about LeBron and Dwyane Wade going back a few years, so it would make sense for James to respond in such a way.

Even if this wasn’t about Weezy, the note is indicative of James’ maturity. James used to let critics get him down in the past, but he seems to be doing much better at blocking out all distractions now. This is the sort of thing to which people are referring when they say LeBron seems more comfortable and free, which has manifested itself in James’ strong play on the court.
