Scottie Pippen: Kobe Molded His Game After Michael Jordan, Even Talks and Walks Like MJ
Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan are considered to be two of the greatest basketball players of all time. The parallels between the two are endless: they’re both 6’6″ shooting guards, they’ve each won multiple titles including a three-peat, they’ve won Finals MVPs, scoring titles, and All-Star Game MVPs. They’ve both even played and won championships under Phil Jackson.
Scottie Pippen won six championships as a teammate of Michael Jordan, and he sees a lot of similarities between Kobe and MJ.
“I think he reminds a lot of people of Michael because he molded his game after him. He seems to have a lot of Michael’s charisma, and it comes across in the way he walks, the way he talks, and especially the way he plays,” Pippen said in an interview.
Though it’s far less controversial than Scottie’s last comments about Michael Jordan, these remarks are sure to cause a ripple. Kobe molding his game after MJ is nothing new, but saying he has the same charisma and that he talks and walks like His Airness makes it sound like Kobe is nothing but a knockoff. I’m sure Jordan won’t disagree; he’s always saying things to try and protect his legacy.
