Jameis Winston girlfriend is Breion Allen, a Rice basketball player
Jameis Winston has become one of the top quarterbacks in college football, and his girlfriend is also a notable athlete.
Winston’s girlfriend is Breion Allen, who is a sophomore guard at Rice University. Allen is from Hoover, Alabama, while Winston is from nearby Bessemer and went to Hueytown for high school.
The two have been together since at least their senior year of high school. A 2011 Al.com feature on Winston discussed Jameis’ first name and noted that Allen was one of the few people who called him “Jameis.” Mostly everyone else called him “Jaboo,” leading Winston to note that most people in town probably didn’t even know his real name. In that article, Winston said he wanted everyone to call him Jaboo, but apparently something changed because the national media calls him “Jameis.”
Allen averaged 2.1 points in 9.4 minutes per game as a true freshman last season. She was named to the Conference USA honor roll. Similarly, Winston achieved a 4.0 GPA in high school and has been lauded for his smarts off the field.
Jameis redshirted last season but has been one of the best quarterbacks in the country this season. Additionally, he was a stud baseball player and drafted by Texas Rangers in the 15th round last year. He could throw a football 73 yards in 10th grade, was clocked at 92-93 mph on his fastball in high school, and he ran a 6.59 in the 60. He also hit .424 with seven home runs as a senior. He batted .235 in 41 games for the Seminoles as a freshman last season and posted a 3.00 ERA in 27 innings.
Though Winston and Allen are far apart during college, they appear to have remained close. Winston hasn’t tweeted since early August, but one of those Twitter exchanges were with Breion.
