Johnny Manziel stood in as the quarterback at the University of San Diego’s pro day on Thursday, and several scouts were in attendance to get a look at draft prospects, Manziel or both. The Denver Broncos were among the teams who had a representative in attendance, and it sounds like they were there for Manziel.
According to Mike Klis of 9 News in Denver, the Broncos sent a scout to watch Manziel throw passes.
Well, well. Broncos sent a scout to Johnny Manziel's throwing session today at University of San Diego Pro Day. John Elway said he would explore all options in finding a QB. He said that before Case Keenum and mindset apparently hasn't changed. #9sports

John Elway already secured his starting QB for 2018 by signing Case Keenum, but it’s possible he could be interested in a reclamation project like Manziel. For what it’s worth, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Manziel put together a strong performance.
Johnny Manziel threw today at the University of Sam Diego.
12 teams in attendance.
38 attempts.
2 misses.
Light rain.
Strong day say those in attendance. pic.twitter.com/A8NAtSO5In— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 22, 2018
Manziel is doing everything he can to prove to NFL teams that he is serious about a comeback, and that includes opening up about the mistakes he made during his brief pro career. While the odds are still stacked against him, the former Texas A&M star is just 25. All it takes is one team to invite him to training camp.
