
Carmelo Anthony has a verbal agreement to join the Houston Rockets, according to a report.
Anthony opted into the final year of his contract and was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Atlanta Hawks this summer. The Hawks waived Anthony, who cleared waivers last week. All reports have said Anthony will join the Rockets, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Yahoo’s Shams Charania says Anthony has a verbal agreement to join the Rockets and will sign with them when he returns from Africa.

Members of the Rockets have all spoken positively about the potential addition of Anthony. Despite that, sportsbooks don’t exactly think his addition will help the team.
