Carmelo Anthony isn’t putting questions about his future to rest.
The Knicks forward was once again asked about his future in New York after Friday’s practice, and he seems to be growing rather tired of the questions.
“S—, I don’t know. Honestly, it’s hard to answer those type of questions when you really don’t know what’s going to happen towards the end of the summer,” Anthony said, via Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News. “We still have a month left in this season. So to think about whether I’m going to be on this team next summer, that’s for you to speculate.”
Anthony recently met with Knicks president Phil Jackson, and while he said it was a good chat, it ultimately seems as though Anthony’s future will be determined by the team’s summer moves.
“The conversation was good. We had a good conversation. Now it’s on those guys,” Anthony said. “It’s on the front office to do their jobs for what they see fit for this team, what this team needs, what this team don’t need. It’s up to them.”
Anthony has emphasized the importance of a good offseason for the Knicks previously. It seems as though may be the key to keeping him around.
