DeMarcus Cousins could play in G League game as part of rehab
DeMarcus Cousins is starting to get closer to a return for the Golden State Warriors, and Steve Kerr would like to see him ramp things up. In fact, Kerr may want Cousins to begin practicing with the Warriors’ G League team and potentially play in a few games.
Kerr made his remarks while speaking with the media on Friday.
Kerr said DeMarcus Cousins will go to Santa Cruz in the next couple weeks to get in more practice with the G League team. Said there’s a chance Cousins could play a couple G League games.

The practices for the Santa Cruz team are more intense than the Warriors’ during the season, which is the reason for Cousins getting work in with them.
As of a few weeks ago, the expectation was that Cousins could return for the Warriors after Christmas. He is coming back from a torn Achilles’ tendon suffered in January. The Warriors have some more need for a big man after Damian Jones suffered a torn pectoral muscle.
