Derrick Rose was showered with praise across the NBA community after he set a career high with 50 points on Wednesday night, but you could make the argument that no one was happier for him than World Cup star Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann, who plays for Atletico Madrid and helped France win the World Cup over the summer, is a huge Rose fan. Even after he scored in the World Cup final, Griezmann randomly interrupted a teammate’s interview to profess his love for Rose. It’s no surprise, then, that Griezmann was one of the many who gave Rose a shoutout for his 50-point game.
We saw tributes pour in from various NBA stars and Rose become overwhelmed with emotion following the game, but you can bet Griezmann was among the most thrilled when he learned what the former NBA MVP accomplished.
