Isaiah Thomas will be in the starting lineup for the first time since joining the Lakers last month.
Kyle Kuzma rolled his ankle in the Lakers’ win over Denver on Tuesday night and will miss Wednesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors. Luke Walton told the media that Thomas will start along with Lonzo Ball, with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope moving to forward for the game.
Thomas entered Wednesday having played in 13 games for the Lakers. Though he has been coming off the bench, he is averaging 26.2 minutes per game — nearly the same amount as he did for Cleveland, where he was a starter. Thomas is averaging 16.5 points per game with the Lakers, and his shooting percentages are up across the board.
The Lakers are starting to play some good ball and have won eight of their last ten games. They are getting the Warriors at a good time too as Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green will all be out for the contest.
