Kobe Bryant takes shot at bandwagon Warriors fans
Kobe Bryant has great faith in the future of the Los Angeles Lakers, and the future Hall of Famer believes the franchise will soon recapture its spot at the top of the NBA world. And when they do, Kobe can’t wait for Laker nation to mock a bunch of bandwagon fans.
While speaking at the Lakers’ annual “All-Access” event at Staples Center on Monday, Bryant said he is not concerned about the slow start the team has gotten off to after signing LeBron James. He said L.A. has the right pieces in place to “figure it out,” and he believes it won’t be long before they’re sticking it to Golden State Warriors fans.
Kobe’s parting shot: “We’ll be champions again before you know it. And we’ll be laughing in the faces of all those Warriors fans who came out of nowhere.”

Some will find those comments ironic, as the Lakers have plenty of bandwagon fans themselves. Their following has surely dwindled in the days since Kobe retired, though Purple & Gold fever will likely be as rampant as ever in the postseason this year.
The Lakers have won three straight and are now 14-9 on the season. We’ve already seen LeBron get criticized for some of the things he does after losses, but all of the championship teams he has been a part of have started out slow. The same could be said for the beginning of his career in L.A.
