One of the NBA’s most notable agitators is drawing plenty of interest on the market.
According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, free agent forward Matt Barnes has interest from the Los Angeles Clippers, Golden State Warriors, Dallas Mavericks, and Sacramento Kings.
The 36-year-old Barnes averaged 10 points and 5.5 rebounds in 76 games for Memphis last season. He’s a valuable depth big man on a good team, and it’s no surprise that a few contenders are after him.
Barnes spent three seasons with the Clippers from 2012 to 2015, but it would be a surprise to see him return given the comments he made about Doc Rivers last season. Still, stranger things have happened.
