The saga of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s ball was a big story last week, and now Patrick Beverley has weighed in with a humorous take.
Antetokounmpo set a Milwaukee Bucks record when he scored 64 points in the team’s 140-126 win over the Indiana Pacers last week. He became unglued afterwards when he was searching for the game ball, which he wanted to keep for a souvenir.
Antetokounmpo made ado about the matter and even ran to the Pacers’ tunnel in search of the ball.

Beverley says that type of behavior would have evoked a strong response from him.
The Philadelphia 76ers guard said on Wednesday’s episode of “The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone” that he would have been so ticked off about allowing a big game to Antetokounmpo that he would have destroyed the ball.
“I would’ve poked a hole in that b–ch. Beat me? Put 60 on me? Yeah, you can have this ball. Then I thought about it. I would’ve pealed that b–ch like an orange,” Beverley said.
Beverley then commented on the drama in the NBA.
“NBA a big a– soap opera, and I love this s—,” he said.
A clip of Beverley saying his comments is in the video, but beware of the language.
Pat Bev says he would’ve deflated Giannis’ game ball

There will be no souvenirs commemorating an opposing player’s accomplishment against Beverley, that’s for sure.
