Victor Wembanyama suffers injury after landing on ball boy
San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama was injured during warmups Saturday after tripping over a ball boy.
Wembanyama appeared to tweak his right ankle moments prior to the Spurs’ Christmas weekend matchup against the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
The Frenchman was seen working on his post moves when he accidentally stumbled into a ball boy along the baseline.

Wemby reportedly had his ankle re-taped in an attempt to play. But the Spurs exercised caution with their franchise star and opted to have him sit out the game.
The Spurs rookie also missed the team’s Tuesday matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an injury to the same ankle.
Saturday’s contest against the Mavs is just the 3rd game Wembanyama has missed through the Spurs’ first 27 games of the season.
