Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. robbed nights after losing to Canelo Alvarez

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was robbed two nights after his loss to Canelo Alvarez in their Saturday fight in Las Vegas last weekend, his wife told ESPN Deportes.

Chavez’s family remained in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand in the days following the fight, in part because of a concert they planned to see.

According to what Chavez’s wife told ESPN Deportes, they met some fans at the MGM and began drinking with them on Monday night. They continued to party together in Chavez Jr.’s room, and his wife left to take care of their child.

A video came out on Thursday that showed Chavez Jr. in the room, laying on a bed while a few women showed off their rears.

Chavez’s wife says Chavez ended up robbed of a $40,000 watch, his phone and a check from his fight against Canelo. She believes they set him up as part of a trap. They plan to talk with an attorney to pursue matters when they return home to Los Angeles.
