Watch: Auburn’s Anfernee McLemore had incredible put-back dunk
Auburn did its best to hang around in the first half of Sunday’s Elite 8 game against Kentucky, and junior Anfernee McLemore helped keep things close with one of the most athletic plays we’ve seen in the NCAA Tournament thus far.
With the Wildcats leading 32-28 and less than a minute remaining in the first half, Auburn point guard Jared Harper drove to the basket and missed a layup. Fortunately, McLemore was trailing the play and was somehow able to come up with a huge put-back dunk.

The Tigers were down double-digits at one point in the first half, but they were behind just 35-30 heading into halftime. While McLemore’s play wasn’t quite as impressive as some of the things we have seen Duke superstar Zion Williamson do, it was one of many “wow” moments in the tourney.
