Bob Knight returns to Indiana to watch baseball game
19 years after his dismissal as Indiana’s basketball coach, Bob Knight has, at least publicly, made his first appearance on campus.
Knight was spotted in Bloomington on Saturday in order to watch the school’s baseball team. It is the first time he’s been spotted so visibly since his dismissal in 2000.

So yeah, this is something. It's believed Knight has been back on campus several times surreptitiously, but this is his most visible return to IU proper in decades.

Knight has always been a big baseball guy. Still, wild that a Saturday doubleheader against Penn State in 2019 was the event that brought him back to IU's campus.

Knight, of course, has a difficult relationship with Indiana. He loves the fans, but he will never forgive the administration that fired him. Those people are out of power at the school now, however, so perhaps he felt comfortable returning and being seen while doing so.
