Eastern Kentucky junior guard Marcus Lewis threw down a sick alley-oop off an inbounds pass during his team’s 81-72 win over Southeast Missouri State on Saturday.
Lewis caught his defender sleeping and sneaked in down the lane for a monster throw down. He was at least a foot above the rim, and he got up so high that the bottom of his foot was level with a defender’s chin.
Lewis had 10 points in 27 minutes. His dunk was so impressive that one of the team’s assistant coaches, Luke Strege, began promoting it over his Twitter account. He passed it along to various college basketball writers and even tried to get it on SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays. The play was definitely highlight-reel worthy.
