Superstar freshman Harry Giles is nearing a Duke debut after a long-term injury, but Notre Dame coach Mike Brey does not want to hear about that.
Ahead of his team’s Saturday game against Villanova, Brey appeared to go after Duke – or more specifically, how the media has covered Duke and Giles’s injury in contrast to his team and his opponent.

Brey has a 9-0 team and probably thinks more people should be talking about them. That’s fine. It does seem a bit odd to bring Duke into it out of nowhere, but Brey is a passionate guy who may feel disrespected a bit.
By the way, Notre Dame and Duke face off in South Bend on Jan. 30.
