Report: Clemson transfer Kelly Bryant has six schools on his list
Kelly Bryant is beginning his transfer tour and reportedly has interest in six different college football programs.
Bryant, who spent the previous four season with Clemson, announced last month that he would transfer after losing the Tigers’ starting quarterback job to Trevor Lawrence. He has already been granted a release by Clemson.
According to Matt Connolly of The State, Bryant has visits scheduled with North Carolina and then Arkansas over the next two weeks. Connolly further reports that Bryant also has interest in Missouri, Louisville, Baylor and West Virginia.
Bryant served as a backup to Deshaun Watson at Clemson for two years. He finally became the team’s starter last season, throwing for 2,802 yards, 13 touchdowns and 8 interceptions, while rushing for 11 scores. He helped the Tigers reach the College Football Playoff.
Bryant and Lawrence split time in each of Clemson’s first four games this season. Lawrence quickly proved himself to be the better option and eventually won the starting job.
