Report: Kirby Smart a strong candidate for Georgia job

Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart is a hot commodity this offseason and could be a strong candidate for two SEC jobs.
Not only is Smart said to be the leader for the South Carolina job, but he also is a top candidate for the Georgia vacancy. FOX’s Bruce Feldman reports that Smart is getting “strong consideration” for the gig.
It sounds like Smart has interest in the job.
From what I understand, Kirby Smart wanted to see what happened with UGA first before moving on with South Carolina

Multiple Georgia insiders believe Smart is a leader for the gig:
Alabama DC Kirby Smart, who is a former UGA player, is probably the front runner at this point for the UGA Head Coaching job.

All week long I have heard that Kirby Smart is the man coming in to replace Richt. Will be interesting to see if that happens.

Smart, 39, grew up in Georgia and played defensive back for the Bulldogs. He has been an assistant under Nick Saban since 2004 and even turned down a defensive coordinator position with Georgia a few years ago to remain with the Crimson Tide. He may feel ready to make the move now.
