Missouri QB Brady Cook returned from hospital to beat Auburn
Missouri quarterback Brady Cook had quite the adventure during his squad’s 21-17 win over the Auburn Tigers at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Mo., on Saturday.
Cook went 11/22 for 194 yards in the game and helped Missouri rally from down 17-3 to win the game. He exited the game after suffering an injury on Missouri’s first drive.

Mizzou head coach Eli Drinkwitz revealed after the game that Cook actually went to the hospital to undergo an MRI before returning in the third quarter.
“They took him to the hospital to MRI the ankle and see. He said he was over there. He told the team that in the hospital he realized, ‘I only got two and a half games left at Faurot Field. There’s no way I’m spending it here in the hospital,'” Drinkwitz said.

Backup quarterback Drew Pyne helped finish off a field goal drive in the first quarter and helped Missouri get a field goal in the third quarter. After Cook returned, he led the team to two touchdowns, which helped them win the ballgame.
Thanks largely to Cook’s heroics, Missouri is now 6-1. They will visit Alabama in their next game.
