Rashaan Evans: Auburn fans treating me like I’m Satan
Signing day is supposed to be a milestone day for many high school recruits. These are athletes who have worked hard for the past several years to have the chance to receive a college scholarship, so announcing where they’re going to school is a big deal. But apparently things haven’t been great for Rashaan Evans since he announced last week that he was signing with Alabama.
Evans is a five-star linebacker from Auburn, Ala., and considered to be one of the top recruits in the country. Since he’s from Auburn and attends Auburn High School, it’s no surprise that Tigers fans have taken his collegiate decision badly.
Check out what Evans tweeted on Monday night:
All I did was commit to a university to get my education and pursue my dreams but a whole city gone try and treat me like I'm satan #Really

Come on Rashaan, you’ve been around Auburn fans all your life. You really surprised they aren’t taking your decision too well?
Seriously though, I do feel badly for him. You know people must be making his life difficult all because of that choice. But if you’re a defensive player from the state of Alabama, choosing to play for Nick Saban is probably the best thing you can do. How can you blame him?
