Tennessee linebacker Jordan Allen recently entered his name in the NCAA’s transfer portal, but it turns out he will not be enrolling at a different school in 2019. His mother made sure of that.
Allen, a California native, played sparingly in his first season at Tennessee. With his mother battling cancer and dealing with numerous health issues, he explored the possibility of transferring to a school closer to home. Allen’s mother, Lisa McGee, said she told her son “HELL NO” when he proposed leaving the Vols.

One person to thank: his mother, Lisa McGee, who said “HELL NO” to him leaving Tennessee. pic.twitter.com/WTsP7x4kZ8

McGee said at Tennessee’s spring game last year that she’s had a tough life, so Jordan is determined to make it easier for her. While she appreciates that, she won’t hear of it coming by way of him leaving Jeremy Pruitt’s program after one season.
I caught up with Lisa at the spring game last year. Just an honest, strong woman. Very kind, very demanding. She doesn’t mess around when it comes to her kids’ futures. https://t.co/8w757yaSER

We’ve seen some mothers of recruits express disappointment in their son’s decisions in hilarious ways, and McGee clearly wasn’t going to let it get to that point with Allen.
