Top QB recruit Brock Vandagriff decommits from Oklahoma
Oklahoma has gotten tremendous quarterback play under Lincoln Riley over the past several years, and Brock Vandagriff was expected to help the program continue that success when he arrived on campus in 2021. However, the top recruit has decided he no longer wants to play for the Sooners.
Vandagriff, the top-rated QB in the Class of 2021 according to Rivals.com, announced on Wednesday that he is decommitting from Oklahoma. Vandagriff is from Georgia, and he said he has decided he wants to attend school closer to home.

Vandagriff has received scholarship offers from several programs, one of which is Georgia. He’s also drawn interest from LSU, Penn State and Florida, to name a few.
Of course, Vandagriff’s decision to re-open his recruiting has led to some questions about whether he is concerned Riley could accept a job coaching in the NFL. Riley has been heavily linked to one NFL head coaching job for a while, though he has not given any indication he wants to leave Oklahoma.
