Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa limped to the locker room during the second quarter of Saturday’s game against Tennessee.
Tagovailoa was hit as he tried to turn the corner against the Tennessee Volunteers. His ankle appeared to twist and get caught under the defender, and he came out of the game to head to the medical tent. After being treated there, he limped to the locker room.

Tagovailoa was replaced by backup quarterback Mac Jones with the Crimson Tide leading 21-10.
The Alabama junior came into Saturday’s game as a leading Heisman candidate, having thrown for over 2,000 yards and 27 touchdowns to just one interception. He spent the latter part of 2018 coping with ankle issues that carried all the way through the College Football Playoff.
