USC freshman quarterback Kedon Slovis briefly exited Saturday’s rivalry game against UCLA after taking a hit to the head in the third quarter, but he did not miss much time.
Slovis was trying to scramble and fumbled on a first down play in the red zone. As he was going to the ground, his head bumped into a Bruins player. Slovis was down on the field at the Coliseum and exited.

Slovis was replaced by Matt Fink for the third time this season. Fink handed the ball off twice and USC scored on the second play to extend their lead against the Bruins.
Slovis was able to return on the Trojans’ following possession. The true freshman was putting up yet another studly game for USC. Slovis eclipsed 400 yards passing and four touchdowns for the third straight time and fourth time in five games.
