Adam Gase responds to criticism of him coaching from bench
Adam Gase may deserve plenty of the blame for what has been a disappointing with the Miami Dolphins, but the head coach draws the line at people criticizing where he chooses to sit or stand during games.
Many NFL coaches stand on the sideline for the entirety of games, but Gase is one of a handful who will sit on the bench from time to time to draw up plays or watch film. While speaking with reporters on Wednesday, he indicated he is tired of being questioned over it.
"It's not hard to see. I'm on the headsets. I can see what's going on the jumbotron. I can hear what's going on," Adam Gase says when asked about his times on the Dolphins bench watching film, drawing up plays on bench during games.

Gase then noted that Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay does the same thing, and his team has been one of the best in football.
Then, Gase adds: "The guy in LA does that too. And they're doing pretty good." https://t.co/KyO7kodtQu

Andy Reid is another coach who spends some portions of games on the bench, and the Kansas City Chiefs have also been extremely successful this season. It seems like a silly thing to have to explain yourself over, so you can’t blame Gase for getting irritated.
The Dolphins are 7-8 and not headed to the playoffs, but the coaching from the bench topic isn’t the only one Gase has been defiant about as the season comes to a close.
