Branden Albert arrest video shows former NFL star being tased twice

Branden Albert

Branden Albert was arrested back in February following an intense altercation at a jewelry store, and body cam footage of the arrest shows just how out of control the two-time Pro Bowler was when police were trying to apprehend him.

A video that was released by TMZ on Thursday shows Albert having a Taser used on him. It appeared that the big man powered through the first shot and may have even pulled the prongs off of himself before being tased again.

Albert, who was last listed at 6-foot-5, 314 pounds when he played for the Miami Dolphins in 2016, was arrested on a felony assault charge after he allegedly punched a hole in a wall and threatened a jewelry store owner. The police report stated that Albert tackled a police officer after being tased.

Albert, the No. 15 overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, was traded from the Dolphins to the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to the 2017 season. He briefly retired before changing his mind and trying to return, but there was some drama and the Jags ended up releasing him.
