Broncos reportedly release Henry Melton
Henry Melton’s stay in Denver proved to be a brief one.
According to a report by Mike Klis of KUSA on Friday, the Broncos have released Melton, who had recently been dealing with a knee injury.

The former Pro Bowl defensive end signed a one-year deal with Denver in August, but they instead become the third team in the last 18 months to throw in the towel on him. Melton posted 30 combined tackles and 2.0 sacks for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015.
The 29-year-old used to be an elite lineman during his time as a Chicago Bear but never really looked the same after suffering an ACL tear in 2013. While Melton has managed to move past his legal troubles, he just hasn’t been able to stay healthy in recent years and could be nearing the end of the rope.
