CJ Anderson says surgery was ‘super success,’ no timetable for return
C.J. Anderson underwent surgery on his knee Thursday, and the Denver Broncos running back is not yet ready to rule himself out for the remainder of the season.
Anderson tweeted on Friday morning that the procedure was a “super success” and said there is no timetable for his return.

At the very least, Anderson is going to miss several weeks. And if this report is true, we aren’t going to see him again for quite some time.
Anderson is dealing with a torn meniscus, which is the same injury Ben Roethlisberger suffered a couple weeks ago. It’s also the same one Adrian Peterson went down with, and those two players have very different recovery timelines. Obviously, it’s much more difficult for a running back — who relies on cutting and bursts of speed — to get back onto the field in short order.
