Watch: Cordarrelle Patterson grabs Jets player’s groin

New England Patriots receiver Cordarrelle Patterson got a little bit dirty on Sunday against the New York Jets.

Patterson was pinned to the ground by Jets defensive end Henry Anderson during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game, and unable to get up, decided to take an approach that was sure to do the trick. Cameras spotted Patterson with a rather firm grip right where it hurts.

If Patterson was angling for an escape route, it worked. Anderson helplessly fell off him and he was able to get off the ground.

Sometimes these things happen accidentally. There was no mistaking the intent behind this one. Perhaps for Patterson, the ends justify the means — it certainly succeeded in getting himself freed.
