Dak Prescott shining in preseason for Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott

There is little doubt about what the biggest story of the NFL preseason is so far: the emergence of Dak Prescott.

Prescott, who was taken in the fourth round by the Dallas Cowboys, looked sharp in his preseason debut last weekend against the Los Angeles Rams, and he was even better in his second contest.

Prescott treated the Miami Dolphins like they were a second-string SEC defense during Friday’s preseason game at AT&T Stadium. The former Mississippi State QB accounted for four touchdowns — throwing for two and rushing for a pair of scores.

He was 12/15 for 199 yards and two touchdown passes. Prescott also rushed for 28 yards on three attempts, including two TDs. That all amounts to a perfect passer rating for Prescott of 158.3.

Oh yeah, let’s also not forget that Prescott was 10/12 for 139 yards and two touchdown passes in his first preseason game against the Rams.

For the preseason, Prescott is 22/27 (81 percent) for 328 yards and four touchdown passes, as well as two rushing scores.

It’s only been two games so far, but now you know why Jerry Jones gave this answer when asked about Johnny Manziel. Dallas has to be doing cartwheels over what it’s seeing out of Dak so far.
