DeAngelo Williams: Vontaze Burfict ‘a danger to the game’
There’s absolutely no love lost between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals, and we got another reminder of that on Wednesday.
Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was fined $75,000 but not suspended for stomping on LeGarrette Blount of the New England Patriots last Sunday. Shortly afterwards, Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams went to Twitter to criticize the decision not to come down harder on Burfict, a repeat offender, calling him “a danger to the game.”
So roger is concerned about player safety right? However a known offender is fined rather than removed from the field? Message received

You can see video of Burfict’s stomp here.
Burfict is known as one of the dirtiest players in the NFL, and he has an ignominious history of cheap shots against the Steelers in particular.
While his team will maintain that the ex-Pro Bowler is being unfairly singled out, Williams’ comments paint a pretty solid picture of how the rest of the league views Burfict.
