The Philadelphia Eagles have struggled early in the season to find the offensive consistency that made them the best team in football a year ago, but help is on the way.
On Wednesday, Eagles coach Doug Pederson revealed that star wide receiver Alshon Jeffery has been cleared for contact. His status for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans is in question, but he is clearly inching closer to a return.

Jeffery played through a shoulder injury all of last season before undergoing surgery following the Super Bowl. He managed to catch nine touchdowns during the regular season and was an even bigger factor in the playoffs, catching two touchdowns in the NFC title game and one in the Super Bowl.
Carson Wentz finally returned last week from his ACL rehab, and the Eagles have gone 2-1 in their first three games. They should be even better as they continue to get key players back and healthy.
