Falcons re-sign K Matt Bryant to 3-year contract

Matt Bryant

Matt Bryant is re-signing with the Atlanta Falcons and getting some nice money in the process.

The two sides agreed to a three-year deal that will pay the kicker $10.5 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He says the deal could be boosted to as much as $12 million on incentives.

Though he turns 43 in May, Bryant has been one of the best kickers in the league. He has missed only one extra point in the regular season since 2009. He made 87.2 percent of his field goal attempts last season, and was even better at 91.9 percent the season before.

Since joining the Falcons, Bryant has also gone perfect on field goals in the playoffs, making all 12 of his attempts, though he did miss an extra point.
