Jamaal Charles’ 2016 campaign is shaping up to be one to forget thanks to ongoing injury concerns.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said on Friday that Charles has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts with knee issues, per Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star.

Charles, who tore his right ACL in October 2015, has appeared in just three games so far this season, getting a total of 12 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown. Recent reports indicated that the 29-year-old is currently dealing with soreness in both of his knees, having also torn his left ACL back in September 2011.
Charles had been expressing confidence in his progress earlier this month, but now there’s some serious concern as to whether he’ll even be healthy enough to make a meaningful contribution for the Chiefs this season.
