Josh Norman critical of NFL postgame drug test policy
The NFL hit Josh Norman with a drug test immediately after Washington’s 27-23 loss to Dallas on Sunday, and the star cornerback was not happy about it.
Norman criticized the NFL’s policy of same-day testing, and was even heard yelling at the trainer who administered the test.
“I don’t like how the NFL has us drug test right after the game,” Norman said, via Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times-Dispatch. “I don’t understand that. It’s crazy. I don’t have anything left in the tank, yet they want you to drug test. It’s crazy. I don’t understand it.
“I don’t get it. I really don’t. Shoot – we can’t wait until tomorrow?”
Norman said that the policy was new for 2016 and it was his first encounter with it.
“This is the first time – they started it this year,” Norman said. “I don’t get it. I really don’t. What’s a day going to do? 24 hours?”
Norman had to deal with a lot of mockery over the last week, and it concluded with a loss. You can bet he was feeling pretty unhappy with all that, and there was probably some frustration in these quotes.
