Leonard Fournette may end up facing disciplinary action from the NFL for his arrest earlier this month, but the Jacksonville Jaguars clearly do not view the incident as a serious one.
Fournette was given a ticket for driving 12 mph over the speed limit back in November, and he was arrested earlier this month after failing to pay the citation. On Tuesday, Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said the team won’t be disciplining the former LSU star. In fact, Marrone says he can empathize with the situation.
The #Jaguars won’t be disciplining Leonard Fournette for his arrest, Doug Marrone said.

Doug Marrone said he’s talked to Leonard Fournette about the arrest. Told him a story from the late 90s when Marrone didn’t pay a parking ticket and got apprehended. #Jaguars

Fournette had some issues with Marrone and the Jaguars’ front office late last season, but he appeared to have cleared those up. When asked if the arrest will be a setback on that front, Marrone would only say “we’ll see.”
Considering he has already made millions during his career, it’s hard to believe Fournette did not pay a simple traffic citation. He probably gave the Jaguars a reasonable explanation for what happened.
