San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon was carted off the field Sunday after suffering a hip injury, but that is apparently not the only thing that is ailing the second-year player.
While speaking to reporters on Monday, Chargers head coach Mike McCoy revealed that Gordon is dealing with both knee and hip sprains.
Mike McCoy said RB Melvin Gordon has hip strain and knee sprain. "He'll be day to day, and we'll take it from there."

A report earlier in the day labeled Gordon as “week-to-week” with a hip injury and noted that the former Wisconsin star wants to play. Gordon is just three rushing yards short of eclipsing the 1,000-yard mark.
Gordon has solved some of the problems he had in his rookie year and is enjoying a breakout season. While he may want to play through pain, the 5-8 Chargers probably see no reason for him to do that.
