Ryan Fitzpatrick will reportedly test free agent market
Ryan Fitzpatrick was one of the biggest surprises of the 2015 NFL season, as he led the New York Jets to a 10-6 record and had them one disappointing loss away from a postseason berth. Is the team willing to let him walk away this offseason.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Fitzpatrick and the Jets are “far apart” in contract talks and the 33-year-old is expected to test free agency.
This is a surprise: #Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is expected to hit the free agent market, sources say. Sides are far apart on a potential deal

As soon as the season ended, Fitzpatrick and the Jets made it clear that both sides are interested in continuing their relationship in 2016. However, it’s possible that Fitzpatrick is trying to squeeze every last dime he can out of the Jets given that this could be his last NFL contract.
Making matters more interesting for the Jets this offseason were the reports about Colin Kaepernick wanting to come to New York. And let’s not forget about the backup who still thinks he has a chance to win his job back.
