According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the extension makes Carroll one of the NFL’s highest-paid coaches.
The contract extension for #Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is worth more than $11M per year, source said. One of the highest paid coaches in the game… now under contract through 2021.

Carroll’s previous deal took him through the 2019 season. Given the year the Seahawks have had, locking him down beyond that was both a top priority and a no-brainer. Despite some tumult last season, Carroll has moved past it, leading his team to a 9-6 record and a playoff spot in what was expected to be a rebuilding year. He’s 88-54 overall with a Super Bowl, and is one of the NFL’s most accomplished coaches. The Seahawks will be thrilled to keep him long-term.
