Takk McKinley won the NFL Draft with an emotional interview he gave upon being drafted.
The former UCLA pass rusher was taken No. 26 overall by the Falcons, who traded up to get him.
McKinley paid tribute to his later grandmother at the draft, carrying around a picture of her. He then explained in an interview with Deion Sanders of NFL Network that he promised his grandma on her deathbed that he would make it out of his rough area, make it to a D-I college, and ultimately make it into the NFL.

“I made a promise to her,” said McKinley. “I told her I was going to go D-I, I was going to get out of Richmond, I was going to get out of Oakland. I was going to live my dreams to play in the NFL. And I’m here. I completed the promise. That means every f—ing thing to me. Excuse my language. Fine me later, man. Fine me later, man. This means everything to me. Everything to me!”
After Thursday, he has fulfilled his promise to her, and that led to the emotional interview. Fans have to love his passion.
