Titans’ Cairo Santos has disastrous day with four missed field goals
The Tennessee Titans had some major kicking problems on Sunday.
Cairo Santos, signed in early September after regular kicker Ryan Succop was placed on injured reserve, tried four kicks and missed all of them against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Santos missed from 50 and 36, and his attempt from 33 was blocked. Bafflingly, down seven and despite having missed three already, coach Mike Vrabel sent Santos out to attempt a fourth kick from 53 yards, which he predictably missed as well.
No clue why the Titans kicked the field goal there. Cairo Santos has now missed all four of his field goal attemps.

Santos’ misses were worth 12 points in a game Tennessee lost by 7. He’s just the latest victim of a kicking epidemic that one of their division rivals is far too familiar with.
